United Religions Initiative North American - Briefings

The Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Ethics is newest Cooperation Circle member of the United Religions Initiative in North America. The Institute has been a leader in the Southern California interfaith and intercultural communities for a number of years. We are proud to welcome their strength and diversity into the global URI familiy.

I recently ran across a posting about the “interfaith pray for peace gatherings” held by the Central Virginia Interfaith Cooperation Circle and thought I would pose a couple of questions to the organizers:

1. What do you find most moving about these gatherings? How long have they been going on?
2. Can you see a difference in your own lives — and the lives of the participants?

Margi Ness writes: I just received this and thought I'd pass it on. I’m trying to get a list of UN events like this for all of 2008 so you will have more time to work on things of interest. However, just individual moments of silence would be good for this if your CC can’t do anything.
