Eco-Justice Resources from NCCC

The National Council of Churches has created an eco-justice program with the tagline “justice for God’s planet and God’s people.” The resources they provide for helping Christian congregations understand the spiritual and justice issues underlying today’s ecological crises will surely be of help to any religious group interested in promoting a green awareness.

NAIN Connect 2007 - Call for Papers

The annual North American Interfaith Network gathering — NAIN Connect 2007 — is coming up in July in Richmond, Virginia. The theme of the event will be “Embracing Religious Freedom: Past, Present and Future.” The organizers have issued the following call for papers and presentations from interfaith groups on this topic.

S.A.R.A.H. Participates in Walk for Hope

Sande Hart reports: In September SARAH participated in the annual Walk For Hope sponsored by Be The Cause www.bethecause.org. At the Walk, we brought our Peace Tapestry materials for walk participants and sat back and watched as the spirit moved from their hearts to their hands and then created the most current Peace Tapestry. I am attaching a picture of that tapestry held by Laura with her daughter of Be The Cause.

The Peace Alliance Conference

The Peace Alliance, with whom many CCs work to promote the idea of a federal Department of Peace, will be holding its annual conference in Arlington, VA in February. This is a terrific opportunity for CCs to connect with and support the peacebuilding work of a like-minded group. If any CC members attend, we'd all love to hear about it!
