There’s still time to register for the URI-NAIN Connect 2005 interfaith conference! The event will be held August 12-16 in Las Vegas, NV at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
The early registration deadline for the upcoming
URI-NAIN Connect 2005 conference has been extended to July 15. The conference
opens Friday night, August 12th, closes at noon on Tuesday August 16th, and
will be held at the University of Nevada at Las Vegas. Registration before
July 15 will cost only $150 for the entire time; after this time it will be
$200 (single-day registration is also available for $50/day). Read on for new details about the concurrent workshops sessions.

All of the logistical problems in Kenya are instantly forgotten when 250 backpacks, excercise books, pens and pencils are distributed to happy, singing children at Yomchiir Primary School and Leiliir Primary School in Southern Sudan. The excited chatter of children fills the huts that are their classrooms as we open our bags and organize the supplies we have brought. Tiny faces crowd the doorway peering out at the gifts for them.

There is no time here. What would be done in one hour in the states takes one day here. A drive to the market is an all day event. Partially because the roads have washed away from rain. Partially because there are so many people to greet and talk with along the way. We met with the village elders today to explain our purpose here.
