North American Global Council Trustees

The 2008 - 2011 URI Global Council has been elected. The new trustees for North America are: Susanna McIlwaine (URI Explorers CC), Adelia Sandoval (SARAH CC), and Rebecca Gonzales-Tobias (Raoul Wallenberg Institute CC). Margi Ness shares her congratulations, and thanks to outgoing Trustees, below.
I want to add my congratulations to the new North America Trustees: Susanna McIlwaine, Adelia Sandoval, and Rebecca Gonzales-Tobias. I have had the pleasure of working with Susanna and Adelia this past year. Both are long and steadfast supporters of North America CCs. I have no doubt they will remain active and strong advocates for the success of each CC. When I conducted the Appreciative Inquiry with Rebecca for admission of her CC at the end of 2007, I was impressed by the scope and depth of work of the Wallenberg Institute that Rebecca directs. The Wallenberg Institute CC has overseen a Muslim/Jewish internet dialogue that is first of its kind in US and is working on two significant school peace projects.
Thank you to outgoing Trustees, PK McCary and Heng Sure, who will be missed as we move forward. Their work has helped lay an important foundation for things to come. Thanks also to those who offered to serve and weren’t elected. Your input, guidance, and support will be called upon.
Finally, thanks to all the NA CCs who participated in this process. Nothing would happen without you.
