Academy for Peace 2008
January 21st, 2008
Last year we shared with you the Academy for Peace program from the URI of Henderson County. Once again for 2008 this small group of dedicated interfaith peacebuilders has put together an amazing program of activities designed to appeal to different audiences and build a culture of peace in western North Carolina.

From Sandy Westin:
Our North American Regional Coordinator, Margi Ness, has encouraged us to send you a copy of our Academy for Peace catalog for 2008 so you can see what programs we are offering this year, and how we promote them. We have this document printed (in black ink, not in color) on 11″x17″ paper with an 8-1/2×11″ insert for pages 3-4 to be in a magazine format.
It is mailed to everyone on our mailing list in November (about 200 addresses), as well as handed out at all of our own programs and other gatherings. This year we were also fortunate to have an extensive article about our Academy offerings included in the local newspaper.
Bit by bit we are reaching into our local community and bringing these “Tools for building Peace” to a wider and wider audience. And that is the way we all work to help Peace prevail - one heart at a time.
Blessings to you all -
